Rational Hit the Half Million mark….
Inventor of combi steaming reaches monumental manufacturing milestone as the 500,000th Rational combi steamer has rolled off the production line at its state of the art factory in Germany.
The unit is bound for the restaurant of the Berlin TV tower, where it will supplement two existing SelfCooking Centers and to celebrate the workforce took time out to celebrate over a well deserved lunch.
“Here at Alexanderplatz we have been working with the SelfCooking Centers for years, and are very satisfied with them,” explains Christina Aue, Managing Director of TV-Turm Alexanderplatz Gastronomiegesellschaft mbH. “There was absolutely no question that we would choose Rational again to increase our capacity.”
On average 3,300 visitors every day enjoy the unique view of the city from the TV tower and indulge in a range of international and Berlin specialities in the bar and restaurant.
The SelfCooking Center is used all around the world – in canteens, restaurants and on board ships. It streamlines and fully automates cooking processes, cutting cooking times, minimising waste and even cleans itself – but only when necessary.
